Whether an individual is looking to change their career, upgrade their skills or is looking for a full or a part time job, the Career Center should be their first stop. Job fairs, workshops, on-line training, access to job listings and use of the computers and copiers in the resource room are among the free services available at the Career Centers.
Training
Access to education and training is key to building a strong, flexible work that can meet the needs of a changing economy. The SSWIB seeks to maximize opportunities for individuals and businesses through federal and state grants and creating partnerships with a wide variety of training and educational institutions. Employers can access the Workforce Training Fund (WTF) to train new and current employees on skills and competencies that are unique to their business needs.
