The South Shore Workforce Investment Board is comprised of dedicated leaders of business, organized labor, educational institutions, community-based organizations and state and local entities. The Board, in cooperation with Mayor Thomas P. Koch of Quincy, the Chief Elected Official, provides the strategic direction for the local workforce investment system.

INITIATIVES
   
  Summer 2010 in the South Shore region brings new opportunities to adults seeking to upgrade their education and improve their marketable skills. Federal and state funding will also provide jobs for a targeted group of youth in the region.
